Benefit Food Truck Rally Dampened

July 21, 2014 – Thanks to dedicated food truck operators and charitable volunteers determined that the rally would go on despite rainy conditions, Baypoint Commerce Center’s second food truck rally benefit took place on July 16.

The rally, a fundraiser to benefit The Kind Mouse, was attended by a small crowd of hardy folks who braved the stormy weather to get lunch from their favorite food trucks and contribute to the cause. Volunteers from The Kind Mouse kept the spirit festive as attendees donated cash and food items to go along with the percentages donated by the food trucks.

To make up for the low turnout due to the weather, Margaret Loflin of Maggie on the Move promised to organize another benefit rally for The Kind Mouse in the next few months. The other participating trucks – Latin Lunch Box, Pasta Bowl, Aloha to Go, Hott Mess, and Enjoi Sweets – all pledged to come back to help raise money for this worthy cause.
