Electronics Recycling Event a Success

In recognition of Earth Month, Baypoint partnered with Quicksilver Recycling Services to host an Electronics Recycling Event on April 29, 2106. The event gave tenants the opportunity to get rid of old and broken electronic equipment such as computers, servers, peripherals and office machines for which they no longer had any use. Many brought in items they had been storing for years, just waiting for a chance to dispose of them. In all, tenants dropped off about 50 laptops, two pallets stacked high with computers, printers, servers, fax machines and other large items, and two huge boxes of miscellaneous smaller electronic goods.

Quicksilver staff removed hard drives and destroyed them on the spot, giving former owners peace of mind that their data and privacy were secure. After gathering donated electronics at events like this, Quicksilver breaks down the discarded items at their 27,000 square foot facility in Tampa, recycling materials as much as possible and disposing of the rest in an environmentally sound manner.
