Hurricane Irma No Threat to Baypoint

September 26, 2017 – After days of feverish activity to prepare for the potential effects from this major hurricane, Baypoint was fortunate to escape Irma’s wrath relatively unscathed. A mandatory evacuation ordered by Pinellas County Emergency Management forced the buildings to close from Friday, September 8th through Monday, September 11th.  Property management staff were onsite immediately after the storm passed to assess any damage. Several buildings experienced minor leaks and power outages; but landscaping took the hardest hit, with numerous trees damaged or blown down. Power was restored to most of the buildings by Monday afternoon with the remaining buildings coming on line Tuesday morning.  All buildings were open for business by Tuesday, September 12th.
