Valpak Moves Corporate Headquarters to Baypoint!

April 17, 2014 – Valpak Direct Marketing Systems, Inc., a leader in local print and digital coupons for more than 45 years, announces it will move its corporate headquarters from Largo to Baypoint Commerce Center, a Feil Organization property, later this year.

Valpak has signed an eight year lease at the Pasco Building to begin on Dec. 7, 2014.

This will relocate the former Cox Target Media and Valpak corporate offices, from their current location in Largo. Approximately 325 employees will make the move, including those from franchise support, national sales, the executive group, business finance, marketing, IT and graphic design.

Since opening the Valpak Manufacturing Center, a 470,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art printing facility in St. Petersburg in 2007, the company has planned to move the rest of its employees closer to the manufacturing center.

“The new St. Petersburg location not only gives us closer proximity to the VMC, but also allows us to draw from a larger, diverse work pool with access to more of the Tampa Bay area workforce,” said Michael Vivio, president of Cox Target Media, providers of Valpak. “We decided on St. Petersburg because we like the cluster of tech companies in the St. Petersburg area, along with the energy and quality of people,” said Vivio.

This will be the third corporate headquarters for the company, which was founded by Terry Loebel in 1968 in Clearwater. The company is now owned by parent company Cox Media Group and Cox Enterprises in Atlanta.

The Pasco building, 805 Executive Center Drive West, is a three-story building located just south of Gandy Blvd. between 4th Street and MLK Street North. Valpak will occupy approximately 50,000 square feet of the building. The building is part of Baypoint Commerce Center which has a total of 15 office buildings in a 76 acre park-like setting. The project was originally developed in 1971. The Feil Organization purchased the property in 2011 and has completed extensive renovations to the park.

”We are extremely happy to announce that Valpak, one of the premiere tenants in the region, has chosen Baypoint Commerce Center for the relocation of their corporate headquarters. Since we purchased Baypoint in 2011, we had a vision to reposition and upgrade the Baypoint Commerce Center to one of the top office parks in the area. This only reinforces that our work is paying off. We look forward to working with the Valpak team during the construction and move in process,” said Brian Feil, Vice President of The Feil Organization.

Junto Design Studio of Tampa will handle the architectural and interior design work associated with a facelift to the common areas of the building along with the tenant build out which will be designed in an open office concept. iConstructors will be the construction manager for the tenant build out and the common area renovations.
